Download3k Improves Own Antivirus Scan Test
Bucharest, Romania (PRWEB) January 17, 2009 -- Download3k's antivirus test is now even more powerful with the addition of Avira's antivirus as the fourth scanner to test the programs listed at http://www.download3k.com.
The antivirus scan test done by Download3k scans the programs listed there with every new version release. It uses four of the best antivirus engines available on the web, AntiVir Premium from Avira GmbH being the latest addition to the scan test. The three other antivirus programs used are Kaspersky Antivirus 2009 from Kaspersky Lab, ESET's NOD32 Antivirus 3.0 and Bitdefender's Antivirus.
All four antivirus programs are updated with the latest virus definitions before starting the scan process.
The antivirus report page for each program listed at Download3k contains the detailed reports from each antivirus program and a verdict of "clean" or "infected" along with a couple of security recommendations from Download3k.
